Together for Girls Netherlands works in the Netherlands and across Europe as part of the global Together for Girls partnership to end sexual violence against children and adolescents. Through data, advocacy, and survivor leadership, we drive action to ensure prevention, healing, and justice. We work with governments, European institutions, civil society organizations, researchers, and survivor leaders to strengthen political will, increase accountability, and advance durable policy reform across the region.
Together for Girls advances its mission by building on over 15 years of data from the Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys, which have generated high-quality national data to inform multisectoral action. This evidence has helped governments and partners understand the scale, nature, and consequences of sexual violence against children — and how to respond effectively. We translate data into systemic change by connecting research, policy, and survivor-led advocacy.
We carry this work forward through three interconnected initiatives: the Safe Futures Hub, which curates and shares evidence-based solutions; the Brave Movement, a survivor-led global movement building political will and demanding prevention, healing, and justice; and the Out of the Shadows Initiative, which tracks how countries are responding to child sexual exploitation and abuse and drives accountability. Together, these initiatives connect data, solutions, lived experience, and political action to create sustainable change.
